Tulip Flower Head Forms in Black Porcelain and Gold Lustre
These Tulip Flower Head open forms are reminiscent of spring flowers, especially tulips. Made from black onyx porcelain, they are built up from the base and torn at the top to create the feeling of petals.
They are fired three times, with the third and final lustre firing adding the almost molten-looking 24 carat gold glaze.
These delightfully tactile pieces are very individual and can be enjoyed just on their own like small bowls of fire catching the light, or for your precious objects or jewellery.

Because the lustre is added in a third firing, it will retain its shine but can be washed in hot soapy water and polished with a soft cloth. There are 3 to choose from (priced individually):
